Default Is there an "Ultimate" brake pad?

You know the illusive brake pad that has phenominal stopping power even when cold, doesn't make any noise, and doesn't leave any dust for us show-goer's!!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

. . . and while I'm thinking about it - does anyone on this board have or know someone who has the brembo big brake upgrade kit? I was looking at this today, and trying to figure out if it would be a worthwhile investment, since brakes and driveline are the only two areas that I have not upgraded on my car.

upgrade the rotors and calipers and you'll have low dust, quiet, good performing brakes depending on the pads.. you'll just leave a big hole in your wallet.. try http://www.fastbrakes.com looks like a good website

I use Hawk Performance SP pads and so far there has been very little brake dust, no squeal and no fade (SO FAR). I am also using Goodridge brakelines and stock size slotted/cross drilled rotors.

Hey Lostgsr, Would you clue me in on how to post a picture in a reply. I have not had much experience with chat room type sites. Sorry about the ignorance. Need to learn sometime.

Is this the Reverend from s2ki.com?

Anyway, for some nifty brakes, ask http://www.aj-racing.com . They probably have what you want... illusive, stop-on-a-dime, kinda pads.
