someone plz help me. i have a 98 ek, (d16y7 stock motor) and everytime i come to a stop, my motor starts to shake. any suggestions on how to fix it??? plz help!

check the rear motor mounts, is it idleing smooth?

 

I had the same problem with my 96 hatch when I first bought it. It has the stock D16Y7 and it idled very rough and would almost die when I would push in the clutch and come to a complete stop at a light. It turned out that before I owned the car the people had the timing belt changed and it was off 1 or 2 teeth on the cam pulley and they had fully retarded the ignition timing to make up for it. So I would check your timing first and see where it is at with a timing gun and then adjust the timing and see if it gets better or worse, then you can come to a conclusion on if it is the timing or not. Spray your plug wire's with water and see if the spark is Jumping. Also, any vaccum or exhaust leaks can contribute to a poor idle.
