92 DA Suspension Build-Up
After some very bad news about my front suspension I have decided to buld-up my suspension instead of doing an engine swap . My front springs have decided it was there time to go , and cracked and started to collapse . This is my first Honda/Acura build . I know alot about the engines and basic construction and design of the cars , but not alot about the brands that offer aftermarket parts . This is the build I have come up with , but need some opinions on the products .

Unfortunately there aren't quite as many shock options for the g2 as there are the g3 tegs. When I still had my '91, I was looking into new suspension. I liked the KYB AGX's, but they are only currently offered for the front end of the DA's(load of crap but oh well). The GR2's are really only an aftermarket upgrade, I've been told that they are about a 25% increase in stiffness over stock but are not mean to handle big drops. Now you can lower a car on any shocks, but you may have major performance issues(due to not being able to handle increased spring rates of aftermarket springs) and the shocks most likely won't last too long, but there are always exceptions. I finally decided on running with Tokico Blues (lack of funds for better shocks, but still a good choice IMO. They are now called Tokico HP's) and Eibach Pro-Kits(in my opinion the best springs on the market due to their progressive spring rates). It gave the teg a nice ride. Definately stiffer than stock, but not unbearable. Handling greatly improved and with a set of decent tires on there cornering became pretty fun. I wasn't desiring a huge drop, so this combo working very well for me. Also, after my suspension upgrade, brake dive was almost non-existent under heavy breaking. If you want more of a drop, Tein makes an awesome kit that is superior to pretty much everything else on the market.
Let's see, as for sway bars, I've heard nothing but good stuff about Suspension Techniques stuff.
I didn't have to run a camber kit with my shock/spring combo because it was only dropped about 1 to 1.5 inches at the most once the shocks fully settled.(not much neg. camber at all) There is a trick that you can do on the back end of most Hondas /Acuras with washers to adjust camber, check that out as well. I did this on the back end of my DA (only 1 washer) and with an alignment afterwards, rear camber was perfect.
The best suggestion I can make is that you go and check out http://www.g2ic.com. That is hands down the best 2nd gen teg info source on the internet. Get some feedback from the people on there as there are MANY knowledgeable folks there who will be more than happy to offer you good suggestions.
I hope this helps you. If you'd like any more suggestions/opinions, feel free to PM me and I'll give you all the info I can.

for koni's you can go to tirerack.com or summitracing.com
koni's are the best shocks for DA tegs in my opinion. you can get kyb agx's for the rear, the 89-91 civic rear shocks fit DA tegs.
