BAD gas mileage?
i know this has been discussed many times but what can be the damn problem with my 94 accord lx, my meter hits around like 150s and im already under the last line on the fuel gauge...got a tune up recently, tires all good, cleaned egr, intake filter changed, TB cleaned, valve adjustment done, only thing im guessing is my o2's or fuel filter, any suggestions? ive read a few threads and some of you guys hit the 200's range with alot more modifications, help!
what's the mileage?
i just had my poor 14years old fuel filter changed, it does help(200miles max on j27 v6)
I am gonna to cut open the fuel filter today at the shop, picture will be posted asap.

Not on a 5th gen, unfortunately. It is located between the engine and the firewall with no space to spare. A bitch to work with.

You usually just change the filter when you change the engine. It is that durable. I've already had a fuel filter go bad on an E450 cube: Trust me, you'd know if it was the fuel filter.

what is your car: auto? Has the tranny been rebuilt?
What have been your major repairs since you've had it? WHen did the mileage go to ****? Did you ever have the belts or waterpump changed?

A bad (clogged) fuel filter is not normally associated with poor fuel economy. If the filter is plugged, your engine might not start or it may run bad because of low fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure does not equal poor fuel economy.
Is it running rich? Do you know what the exhuast smells like when an engine is running too rich? Did you check timing? How is your compression. Is the engine in poor health?

no i rarely drive hard, just maybe only at roadrage sessions now and then, the most i drive is like 3-4 times a week only, and average miles on those days are like 25 each time i do or less. well im planning to change the fuel filter somewhere this week, and ill post my next mpg to see if it helps, think cleaning the fuel injectors might help?
yea i got no clue man, so far i think even mustangs get better mileage than i do ;\ hopefully i have time later today to get my fuel filter changed just too see if that might of been the problem, 20$ to get it changed around my way, so cant hurt to try right?
