h22a civic swap lacks power at full throttle PLEASE HELP!!!!
hey i did an h22 swap in my 93 civic 3 months ago and cant find out my problem with horsepower
its running about 150 horsepower only.
after months of testing ive come up stumped. compression is good timeing seems good. spark and fuel are strong.
the thing is power is good 0-3000 rpmish then after 3000 rpm if ur at full throttle power wont increase but as you let off the gas slowly you can feel the power that should be there for a split second till you let the gas off enough to slow engine rpms.
power is only good at 1/4-1/2 throttle for some reason. can anyone help?
no cel light comes on and ive checked wireing 4 times over now. a/f guage is fine and vacuum is steady at 20lbs
the only thing is i have a ps-20 map sencor from an old accord.. instead of a prelude one wich i dont know the model number.. could it be that?

ive got a walbro 255lph fuelpump
msd ignition, and coil, wires, and irridium plugs
no power at full throttle above 3000 rpm but there is a sign of power as your letting off the gas

This actually happen to two h22 swaps I did. Both in 92-95 hatch. I'm not really sure what it is but you get to a certain point and the power band just falls on its face. I wired everything but the egr so I thought that had something to do with it. I never bothered to wire it up and just plugged in a Skunk2 P28 Computer and it was 100 times better. Try plugging in a gsr ecu or some kind of chipped ecu and see what happens.
