Default Pedals?

I've been trying to practice heel and toe'ing but my heel can never hit the gas right. Are the stock R pedals suffice for this technique? if not, what brands are recommended.

the stock pedals are too narrow IMO (especially the accelerator)

there's lots of aftermarket pedals that are good.

OMP makes great pedal covers that are aluminum, have knurled surfaces and are significantly wider than stock. Mugen makes nice pedals too.

Phat R: Do you know where on-line I can price and maybe purchase OMP pedals?

A cheap way out is to get an aluminium plate and use it to offset the throttle.

Hmm, I hear this from a lot of people, but IMHO, the stock pedals are definately well placed enough to do this. Maybe you're using a different technique from me? I've recently put the Mugen pedals on, but I really felt that they made only a marginal difference in how close the brake and gas are. 'Course I just got 'em because I thought they looked cool, and they were cheap (for Mugen stuff) when I picked them up in Japan. I don't find it any easier with these, though. Maybe try positioning your foot a little farther to the right when you press the brake?

With the exchange rate the way it was, they were about $100. Cheap for Mugen stuff, I thought, and at least $50 less than anywhere I'd ever seen them...

Yip thats what I do, works well if you get it right, you don't have to rotate your foot around at all - if you get what I mean

Be careful, Honda probably didn't place them too close for safety reasons. This is a road car first and foremost, so in a panick stop situation, you don't want to accidentally blip (or worse) the gas when going for the brakes.

Personally, I find it OK to heel 'n toe with the stock pedals. I have smaller than average feet. It's not as easy as I'd like, but it's possible with practice.
