I was about to buy a carsound catalyst convertor but I read this:

With or without the air tube (If not specified with air will be sent, if you are not sure what you need then get the converter with air as it includes a cap in case it is not needed at time of installation)

what is this air tube? I did a search and no one mentioned about an air tube on carsound. Which one should I get? I only have one o2 sensor, is that what it meant by air tube? a hole where the secondary o2 sensor goes in?

 

air tube is for cars with smog pumps...

 

rotary's like the FD3S also used the air pump to help reduce lag - I may have read wrong!

I have bought carsound cats(2.5" and 3") from performancepeddler on ebay in the past. His service is quick and he is a nice, friendly seller. Look at the link below, first one...He sells the crap outta magnaflow/carsound on ebay

Just ask for the cat without the air tube in whichever size you need. Hope this helps!

I heard bad things happening with Carsound Cats. Something about the element breaking or falling apart after a while...

Just thought i'd letcha know before you bid. Might want to hear feedback from other guys here.

doesn't matter, just be sure if you get the one with the pipe on it, that you have it angled so the pipe doesn't stick to far down.
