I've been waiting for them to show up at our shop so I can get one dirt cheap (heh) but I'm just curious if anyone here has used one yet. I've been told by quite a few people (even those who sell JL) that they sound like a W7 but hit harder.... can anyone else verify this?
I heard the Mtx Rsx at Ces last year and it sounded awesome. I am not impressed with the Sound Quality of the W7 and I have listen to every possible set up. The notes have great impact but not much detail?? In short the MTX 9500 does not have to do much to out do the W7 (IMO)

i used to have a 10W7 powered by a 500/1 monoblock amp in my teg.
perfect ported enclosure done by vteg on this board.
sq was excellent (never sounded sloppy) and for one 10, my god everyone thought
i had two twelves/fifteens.
i came from the same setup sealed to JL's specs, and i am convinced that if you
port it right, it can only get better.
i sat in the MTX RSX that had like 9984023984 subs in it. LOL jp it had like 5 or something..for a setup that was mainly for looks, it performed great. even the rep present admitted the setup was mainly for show, but what demo/show car isn't?
can't really compare it to my setup since my goal was different from theirs.

SQ goes to the W7 no question about it.
what u prefer or like more than the other doesn't mean it has better SQ. some likes distorted bass rather than clean tight bass and vicey versy.
SQ is objective.
Sounding good is subjective.

Sounding Good goes to whatever your earbuds prefer.
