Hey guys, recently, when ive been shifting at redline from 2nd to 3rd fast, it grinds 3rd sometimes. Dont have an idea as to why it would do that, we rebuilt the tranny like 2 months ago. At first I thought it was the synchro but that couldnt be it because we just changed it. I have like 33,xxx miles on my car now, i bought it with like 26,000 should I get a tranny fluid change. Im pretty sure the previous owner most probably did not change it. If so, should I get a specific kind and take it to like an EZ lube or a Jiffy Lube ? Please help

There is a product update/service bulletin from Honda. However, your vehicle is out of warranty. The bulletin consist of replacing 5th gear, 3gear and four gear. The syncro have updated due to grinding. So, if you did not use this update parts from Honda that may be your problem.

 

thanks, anymore input about which tranny fluid and what else could be the problem ? ( and no its not my shifting if thats what your thinking )
