Default aem cold air help

ok guys i just got an aem cold air intake and when i went to put it on i noticed the hole that leads to behind the wheel well was too small for the intake to fit through. i have only used short ram intakes (for water safty reasons) before, but i have heard of the problem i am having before so do i need to cut the sheet metal and if so what tool is best to use and how should i cut it. oh yeah i have a 97 base model.

if you dont' want to buy a dremel...you can go ghetto and just get some plyers and bend the metal so it'll fit around the tubing

Make sure to line the rigid edges of the metal with stanpro (push on trim seal) so it does not cause wear on the intake piping. It also makes everything look nice and clean.
