my brake lights dont work when i hit the brakes.
is this a fuse problem or what? my horn also doesnt work, but i dont care about that. everything else electrical works fine. its a 92 gsr if that helps. thanks.

if the bulbs or fuse are not the problems, then it might be the switch problem. if switch is not the problem, then you are in some deep problem. you have to check the wires for both sides and make sure they work properly and not disconnected. if you are gonna check for urself, then good luck. if u r gonna let shop do it, then you are about to pay some serious money to them. they can call whatever they want to since it's the electrical work, and take a long a$$ time man. g luck
no sure havent. i was looking at my fuses. is there a fuse for just the rear brake lights? i saw a fuse for a combination of the brake lights, dash lights, and liscence plate lights. well the liscence plate and dash are fine. could it be the brake switch? how would i know if it is or not before i waste 25 bucks? i replaced the battery recently, but that wouldnt have anything to do with it right?
On a G3, the horn and brake lights are on the same circuit, such that the fuse should be the place to look. Assume G2 is pretty similar.
Do the turn signals and flashers work?
Check under the hood, not the dash, for the fuse.

Your horn and stop lights are on the same fuse. Your fuse is blown. Although, replacing the fuse won't fix your problem, sounds like your horn is shorted internally. Try replacing the fuse and check the lights, if they are still working, use the horn and then check the lights again, they probably won't be working the second time.
You probably need a new horn.

yes the signals and flashers work. ok, check under the hood huh?, now im getting somewhere, thanks. so after i replace this fuse, it could blow again? the dude who had the car before me put on an aftermarket horn. if i disconnect this horn, which i dont use, could that prevent it from blowing again?
Doesn't NY do safety inspections? No vehicle w/o horn is going to pass. Besides, no one can see your middle finger at night.
Re-wire the horn so that the connection is secure and it is properly grounded.

I believe psychologists say that it takes around 3 repetitions for someone to comprehend/remember something. So don't feel bad.

I doubt that highly.

lol...yeah i guess you did. like some of yall said, i got a bigger problem than the fuse as it blew again today
when i replaced the fuse the first time, I disconnected the horn - inspections are overrated anyway - i REALLY dont care about the horn at all. but does that mean i got a short in my tailight wiring? or is it another problem? the fuse blew (like before) at around 8,000 rpm. also, sometimes when i push the car, the radio will start randomly cutting off, and it comes back on when my engine speed drops
could my alternator be acting up? the battery light does not stay on while im driving. any help is appreciated.
