when u get the block honed your are basicly resurfacing the block, getting rid of all the imperfections. If you want to increase the bore then you get new sleves ( not the stock ones) that is if you want to go allot bigger !!
Looking at your name i can only assume that you have a H22 which is a little different...I think you are thinking of a B series with those bore #'s. The H22 has a fiber based sleve and you cannot just drop in forged components !

resurfacing the block???
WTF?
Honing has nothing to do with any of that!
honing is when you use a "stone" to lightly scuff the cylinder walls to a 60* (in most cases) cross hatch that allows the rings to seal properly... this process will also slighltly increase the bore size by only a couple thousands of an inch or .001" depending on how much is actually honed out by the operator of the hone.
This helps to true the cyinder as well.
Boring actually uses a carbide cutter (in most cases) in a boring bar machine that can take off quite a bit more material at a time than a honing stone will. After a cylinder is bored close to the final size, it will then be honed to size with the stone.
In the case of the H22, you would have to replace the sleeves to go to an oversize bore.
If you want to do this, contact me and I will give you an excellent price on Golden Eagle sleeves!
