well i guess my b20 headgasket gave out today, i noticed my overflow tank goin up more and i saw air bubbles inside and noticed some drizzzle goin down the block well not visually but ill see it all wet n what not. how often do you guys's headgaskets blow out? i know this is my fault cuz my car was tuned on 93 octane ( 100 mixed with 91) and the 100octane 76 station around here was out of order so i went aroudn putting on 91 octane. and knowing that i shouldnt boost i boost anyways so im pretty sure the cause of my headgasket failure is due to detonation. i already have a new B20 headgasket on order. and i got some copper spray and iwll be ordering aRP headstuds soon ( damn i really wanted some AEBS cuz i dont wanna have to take crap off to retorque these suckers). my brother will be running the same set up as me, on less psi however because he will be gettin a bigger turbo but i figured my car woudl be really reliable, i dont want his going out like mine did. im not sure if this is normal, so if some of you guys can post up " success headgasket" stories please do, it helps boost my confidence. haha.

I've been using stock headstuds on my motor boosting 13.5 psi, and i've never blown a headgasket.I'd like to hear how people blow them too.

 

I blew a stock headgasket a while back due to a little detonation. I replaced it with another stock gasket. Id rather blow that that have something else give out.
