Default Intake hose to air box spring clamp

How do you guys remove the "spring clamp" on the intake hose?

It is the one connected to the air box assembly.

Thanks.

Look close and you will see where the two ends of the spring clamp meet....just use two pairs of needle nose pliers to separate it. If you're careful, you should be able to use it again. BTW, you can take the filter on and off with the spring attached.

If you don't take it off how are you suppose to change the air filter?

the h0ze slides off of the filter end with-out much effort.

getting it back on is another story.

I guess the intake pipe from comptech would be the best solution. My spring clamp actually gauged a bit of the intake hose

Does anyone know if I just get the intake pipe it would fit on the stock air box? Dealer wants $70 just for the hose!

I just got confirmation from comptechusa that the pipe won't fit on the stock air box. I can't stand looking at my gouged intake hose its driving me nuts! so I just ordered one from the dealer

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Other than me seeing a doctor?
