Default toda question for b16

What kind of power gains do you guys think I could get out of a toda stroker kit, with a b16a1? I know its alot of money, but I was just curious as to what kind of power I could produce?

Think of it as an 11:1 compression GSR motor with a poor R/S ratio. You'd be better off building a GSR block. Or if you really wanted to you could go a B17A crank and sleeve to 85mm and run 12:1 compression in your B16A and have a 1.85L with an awesome R/S ratio (not that it really matters) and make more power.

thats not a bad idea to be honest with you.....i even talked to the guy at inline four and he said that it is only good for what it is???doesnt sound like he is too confident to me about it so maybe ill go that route. What sleeves would you reccomend? I was gonna go with golden eagle with some je pistons. But then where do I go for the head gasket? Any suggestions for the rods? And where the hell do I get a b17 crank? Oh and could I use a type r crank or anything of that sort?

GEM, AEBS, Benson, RS Machines, Dart all good. Cometic head gasket. 85mm $79.95. Crower is the only one that makes B17A connecting rods OTS that I've found. I plan on using these. Good luck sourcing a B17A crank not new. It's challanging to say the least. The ITR/GSR crank is the same 87.2mm crank that comes in the TODA stroker kit, so you're back to that again.

thanks for the input man....I think I'm going to do all that but the b17 crank and keep my b16 crank. If I come across one that would be great, but I dont think im gonna hunt one down.

I have seen people use them in b16's tho and it made really good horse power. All stock b16 with ls crank in a gutted crx hf ran a 13. 6. Not too bad, I dont know what they had to do to make it work tho?

I would think deckplate or custom rods and pistons.

My fiance's car made 185whp and 120tq with toda b's. stock bottom end...
peak power was at 9k

Unfortunately she lost a valve due to fatige.
The car should make 200whp with more compression nad p&p head
