Toda 1800 stroker kit for the b16 uses a type r crank..pr3 rods and toda pistons. I;m not sure but the pistons might have relocated pins

Yeah won't work. B16A deck height is shorter that B16b/B18 blocks. If you want to stroke it to 1.8 you'll need a companies' stroker kit for the b16a.

I've seen a similar set-up turn the same numbers that a JDM ITR gets. There is something to be said for a well modded B16a...

I had an LS crank (resized a little, shaved edges) in my old B16 with, B16 rods, JE pistons (pin moved). Whack rod ratio, but it made power. ITR cams and stock B16 computer, 186hp, 138tq at 7,600 peak. At 2500 rpm, it made more torque than my old B16 (ex/header/intake) at peak.

The Toda kit is mostly custom made parts to fit the B16A. It's a lot easier to stoke a B16B since the block is the same as a B18 block, only de-stroked. A better alternative, IMO, to stroking a B16 is to just get a GSR block and swap it with your B16 block netting you 1.8L's of displacement.
