Default How to add camber in front

I need to know how to adjust camber in the front of my Civic. I am setting it up for autocross and can only get 2deg. I have the Haynes book but they dont tell talk about camber other than to define it. I need to get 3+ deg. I have an Ingralls style camber kit. But its a correction kit to correct excess camber, not add more.

Please Help!!!!!!!

Michael

Why would you need that much camber?

it helps as the body rolls keep the tires foot print flat

Lower your car... camber goes WAY out.

You kinda answered you own question. The Haynes won't have anything since there is no way to adjust camber on the ED Civic/CRX's assuming stock suspension parts.

Since you have an Ingalls kit, but its a camber correction kit, its cancelling out some of the negative camber you already have (I'm guessing you're alredy lowered somewhat). You either need a different kit with the different range of adjustment (I thought Ingalls made 2 or 3 different kits). Or just try taking it off and replacing the (if I recall correctly how Ingalls does it) anchor bolts with stock ones. If you have neg. 2deg. with a correction kit, you might have 3-4 without it.

And yes you could also go lower, if you have the room... But that may not be ideal for ride, tire clearance or suspension geometry/travel.

Also, what class/tires are you using. You don't really gain much more, if any, with more than -2.x deg with most R-compound tires.

Yeah I have lowered the car. It is current setup is the same a the 2002 STS national champ (www.redshiftmotorsports.com). So in STS I'm running the Falken Azenis 205/50/15.

I ran the car last week and it did very well, but, there were alot of long sweeping turns. So I think that a little more front camber will help.

Thanx for the help
