ZC SOHC or ZC DOHC
I know this question has been asked before. I have a 88 crx and wanted a lil more power preferably adding a turbo/nos combo in the future for power. I was wondering if it would be more beneficial for me to get a ZC SOHC or ZC DOHC. Im on a budget and b16 is out of the mind unless u got a cheap one for sale I can work on. Oh yeah im rebuilding the engines themselves and replacing the OEM parts with aftermarket. Thanks.
You're in Socal like me I'm in Buena Park
anypoo, I like the SOHC ZC's if you're going NO2, you have a whole buncha leftover SOHC's out there for parts, DOHC on the other hand....
I can get the SOHC ZC for 300 and DOHC for 400 If There's an ECU that comes with it it's yours too.

price is negotiable

The SOHC non VTEC is essentially a D16A6, the VTEC SOHC is similar to a Z6 or Y8. The DOHC is a good motor w/ roughly the same spec's as the VTEC SOHC. It's really going to come back to your preferance. I like the DOHC b/c it does allow slightly more adjustability.

Is that just the block and head or just the engine plus the ecu. I dunno which one to get though.
