Default can u take a PM6 ECU and chip it for a GSR?

Ok i have a 89 CRX and we put a GSR OBDII engine in it. We have a chipped ECU we bought for it that redlines at 9700 and it is OBD0 so it can work properly, i forgot the code like PR7 i think. Then we are going to take the an OBD0 LS Dist. and use a OBD1 bracket. It fits and it should work. The real question is can i take the original PM6 ECU and chip it to work with the distributor (OBD0), instead of using the one i already bought? If you dont get what im talking about just say so cause i just confused myself lol
