u can do it, u would need a custom relays, or wire it to turn on when the locks open, it's up 2 u, im sure a audio shop in your area can do it for u, it's not that hard

its definetly easy to hook up, especially if they are able to connect to a switch for signalling purposes (power drawn through seperate wires)

Your alarm has an output that is negative while armed. If that is connected to a relay, it can switch the relay to close them when the relay is active, and open them when the relay is closed (normally closed position)

The only problem with this solution is that it would keep a relay constantly latched. You might then want to consider a universal TR-7 Relay ($28 bucks from autotoys) this bad boy can do anything, including timing - and act as a door open close relay. It has the capability to send a signal to open and close the power window with the (-ve) input signal while armed from your car.

I wish i could give you less vauge instructions, but i dont have the wiring diagram for the TR7 nearby, and i'm posting to procrastinate for a midterm

I hope I've sent you in the right direction - hopefully someone else could close for me.

-Shane

Coles: Yes, its easy. Uses the negative while armed wire off your alarm. Don't use a standard relay, try something like the TR7 Universal/Timer Relay.

Does your alarm have a "constant while pressed" aux output ?

If so do with 2-3 SPDT relays ( the 'normal ones'). Using starter kill (- armed output) as the 'switcher'

let me know what kind of trigger your mirrors have ( -, +, or reverse polarity) and I'll post the relay set up for you.

just a question... is the factory wiring setup so it works like a power antenna? In the matter of even if the wire stays +12, the mirror only runs the motor until it's opened the full way, senses that, and shuts down so it doens't burn the motor up? If so, it would be rather easy.

i wired up the jdm power folding mirror using the radio shack relay method from this site http://students.washington.edu...s.htm. I'm looking to by past the switch, because i have to hold it down to keep it close. When i let the switch go, it opens. Would that be a problem using the alarm to fold or open the mirrors. I would apreciate any diagrams on how to....
