If you look in the middle of your flywheel, there is a little bearing in it. This bearing replaces that one. Simply bang it out and pop in the new one

Make sure that when you re install the new bearing, you don't hit it in the "darker" area.

That could damage it severely, tap it in using a socket that is the same size as the bearing, and use the backside of the socket, not the opening side.

u don't ahve to remove the flywheel!

just get a bearing remover...

all the flywheels and clutch's that i have worked on u never have to remove the flywheel...

and i've pulled clutchs on hondas/domestics.. etc. etc....

it' will save u time and labor.. just get a bearning puller

wrong you do have to take off the flywheel
the bearing comes out from the backside of the flywheel....and must be installed the same way....it won't come out without taking the flywheel off....

It depends how many miles you have done. You may not need to replace it but if you're going to remove your whole tranny you may as well replace a cheap bearing.

did you get a clutch for a h22 or h23? If you can put the pilot bearing in place of the bushing and it all fits, do it. Try to put the bearing on the input shaft of the trans first to see if it fits.
