Default spoon Integra-R P73 Piston Set

i found spoon Integra-R P73 Piston Set
• OEM JDM Integra-R pistons, balanced by Spoon.
• Complete with rings and wrist pins. for 344 shipped . . brand new , what do you think of all these ??

is it worth the extra bit to go with NEW spoon ones , or should i just get some OEM jdm itr p73-00 pistons and rings ( i need the pistons , rings, wrist pins , new bearings, and rods )

chipped ecu to rev to about 9 or so
thinner headgasket ( i dont know which one ) to get my CR to closer up for that M22 cam
a greddy SP exhaust 2.36 ( yes too small, but i got it free , what should i upgrade to?)

Spoon pistons are literally just bought right from the factory and balanced, then sold at double the price. If your going to get some new pistons, look into buying them yourself and sending them out to be balanced at your local shop. It would be cheaper and give you the same effect. Also, if your going to be installing balanced pistons, get the rest of the bottom end balanced (not much more money) other wise, the piston weight wont matter.

dc sports 4-2-1 header ( crap, wanna sell and get somthing better , maybe a JDM ITR header)

*JDM ITR would be good. or AN-R or SMSP

the full seup you guys are selling ( m22, valve springs , retainers )

*sweet

a new set of stock valves ( i think a few are screwed up )

*what makes you think yours are screwed up?

chipped ecu to rev to about 9 or so

*what kind of chip? might want to consider going hondata

thinner headgasket ( i dont know which one ) to get my CR to closer up for that M22 cam

*dont do it. never look for more compression thru the headgasget... its a bad idea.
many people will disagree but i wouldent do it for reliability's sake. knowing you can rev the **** out of the engine and not blow a HG

a greddy SP exhaust 2.36 ( yes too small, but i got it free , what should i upgrade to?)

*thats a good size.

everything else is stock, o and i have a set of 110% honda accord injectors , not in the car yet ( i think there 310cc)

*not sure if that would work... might want to check into getting 97 - 01 prelude VTEC injectors. they are 290cc and new from the dealer all 4 are about 80-90 bucks.

+what else should i get and can i run on pump 93or 94 OCTAIN gas ?

*hondata

o yea , and shoul i upgrade to a better timing belt ( if so , which one ?))

*you could get the toda timing belt.. or just stick with oem.

and which cam gears to get ? thanx for taking your time to help me out . . .

*really they are all the same, just look for ones with 4-5 bolts. DONT get AEM gears, then you have a chance of telling another horror story of how the bolt sliped and you droped a valve. the reason they have a reputation for slipping is b/c of they onlyl use 3 bolts. i dont know how the GEM ones hold up either. id get HKS (saw some in the classifyeds forum), skunk2, or ENDYN. ENDYN's have 5 bolts.

They're not even machined-balanced. They just put together sets of closely weighted pistons so that they're within a gram of each other in mass.

The one set of OEM Honda pistons I've weighed were as much as 3 grams of separation in the set. Pricing is only slightly higher on the Spoon-balanced sets. I got mine for $265 with rings a year ago when IPS had them on special.

From what I understood it as, Spoon balances all JDM OE pistons. Regardless if they sell them under the spoon name or not. The only thing that matters is how well they are balanced.

As to your question on what else gets balanced when the whole bottom end is balanced, its the
pistons
crank
rods.
This reduces high RPM harmonics and give youa "smoother" revving engine and adds longevity to boot.
P.S.- my hondata was 280 AFTER tax. Thats less than an S-AFC

Someone doesn't know what they are talking about. If someone is selling them for Double then they would run about 600 cause a New Set of JDM ITR Pistons run about 330+ Surely not 150
