Default How is this for a n/a gsr start...

97' GSR--------

ITR Comptech Ice box + filter
Skunk2 IM
65mm Edelbrock throttlebody
JDM 4-1 header
Carsound 2.5"
Apexi N1 catback
OBD1 conversion
JDM b16 ecu
AEM "Hi flo" Fuel rail + FPR
Walbro 255lph-HP
VAFC2

Now, what cam gears should I go with? I dont have much of a budget left, seeing as how I just ordered most of those parts

Skunk2's are only 205 shipped...would they be good enough? Also should the valvetrain be touched...so I can make more HP higher than 8400ish RPM?

I would recommend investing in Skunk2's. They are lightweight (lighter than the AEM's) and IMO feel more confortable holding the cams with the 6 little bolts rather than three on the AEM.

don't need b16 ecu
don't need fuel rail or fuel pump
ditched vafc and fpr and get hodnata instead
get a jdm 4-1 or better header

that's not a bad start, and as for cam gears, you should look in to JG.

Not trying to jack your thread but I have almost the same setup except ITR tranny w/ Clutchmasters Stage 4 and flywheel and NO B16 ECU, fpr, rail, or VAFC(getting one though) and stock GSR pump.

What setup cams would be good for this setup-not too crazy. I was thinking Skunk2 stage 2 but I heard I would lose like 3hp.

So what about Skunk2 Stage 1 or CTR w/ USDM ITR valvetrain???

Oh and I have AEM cam gears-they haven't done me wrong yet.
