i recently put a sohc zc in my car. back in may i think it was. i noticed back then that there was an oil leak near the block stamp. but oil was leaking through my distributer also. so i got a new dizzy, got a new seal and all was fine. now i noticed an oil, fresh oilly build up around the headgasket, right above the block stamp, where you can see the part of the head gasket sticking out. not a huge leak, but still oil on the block stamp, by the exhaust manifold and around the o2 sensor wire...just that general area. anyone ever run into this situation? it seems like its leaking out of the headgasket there, but i wouldnt see how.

 

It is probably leaking somewhere on your valve cover and collecting there. Double check your valve cover gasket.

nobody has any other ideas?

 

headgasket could be weeping, it probably won't cause any problems, if it really bothers you you could put in a new one.
