Honda Prelude All Model Preludes

Anyone have tires that are 245 wide???

Default Anyone have tires that are 245 wide???

need to see if i can run the nitto 555r 245/40/17 tires on my car.
anyone have em?

I had 235's for awhile on my 5th gen and they rubbed on some big turns....i doubt 245s will fit but that my .02

i did see some prelude that had like ~275's on the rear, the tire extended out ~1/2" from the fender.

I've got 225s on mine and they barly fit. If you roll the fenders I think its possible. If you rub on the liner just cut that section out.

I had 245's, the tires sucked , they rubbed a little bit... not much though... I only had them for like a week

I also have 225s on 18s and they fit with a little room to spare (I have no inner liner though). I do believe that 245s on 17s will go... (the diameter of 225/40/18 is larger than a 245/40/17...25.1 vs 24.7inches)

you might be able to get away with it if you use a slightly different offset. Like I said before, the VW Golf MkIV's offset fit fine on my car (01 Golf GL 2.0). You could tell the tire was closer to the fender than the factory offset, but had no problem rubbing there or on the inside.

Yes, I have run those. They are a good all around tire. The tread wear is a little quick for me. But then I'm kinda hard on my tires. Just make sure you get them balanced regularly and you should be ok. They are getting expensive, so get em now.
