what brake pads?
Good tires should help that a whole lot. Tires helped my braking far more than a set of racing-ish pads would on the street.
Sure, the aggressive pads feel so much better than OEMs, but there's no denying that I can lock a wheel at any time with the OEMs if I wanted to. What more is needed on the street?

Carbotech(www.carbotecheng.com) has a good selection of materials for hondas. If fact they are they only place I found that stocks the proper size for my 87 crx. I run the 1108 compound(Panther XP is the marketing name) and I have no complaints. It has good toque, doesn't fade, and seems to be very long living. I ran 5 weekends of sprints and a 6 hour enduro with one set
. He also has an 1107 and 1109 compound that supposedly has more friction but faster wear.
We just tried a Cobalt Friction(www.cobaltfriction.com) pad on our HC4 Integra, and the driver raves about them. I would look into them too, but have no personal experience.
For Street/AutoX use, my friend just put the Carbotech Bobcats on his WRX, and I am really impresed. No noise, no dust, STRONG cold stopping power and they still did excellent at a lapping day at thunderhill, and we did punish them

I have bobcats on my eg and went to Streets of willow and abused them. And had the same results as above.

We used to run Hawk Blues front & Blacks rear. We liked this combo better than the Porterfield stuff we used to run.
We made the switch to the Cobalt B-spec front & C-spec in the rear. Huge difference. Better feel when adding more 'pedal' for more 'braking power'. Better feel of 'release' when transitioning (sp) from braking to accelerator. They also seem to be effective with less warm up than the Hawks. Less dust, IMO, than with the Hawks or Porterfields. No noise.
Call them up & discuss your braking needs with them. Cobalt does give H-T members a discount too!
