Default is it true about the b17?

i was reading and saw something about honda making 2 different versions of the b17. the difference was that one had a higher deck hight than the other, so there for it also had different sized rods. in the b17 with the higher deck hight it had the same size rods as the b18a, b18b. the reason i want to know is because i am putting a b17 crank in my b16 and i want to make sure that i get the right rods. i don't want to buy b17 rods that are going to be too long, or or to short. if any one could help me out with any sort of information about this that would be great.

As far as I know- b16a/b17 block= same thing deck height wise. Only difference is the internals.

Don't think so. Someone probably confused a B17 GSR motor and a B18a. B17 rods are 5.208"(132.3mm) with 1.890" big end bores. Get rods fitting that description and they'll work fine in a B16/17 block w/ a B17 crank.
