so i have been burning oil for awhile, at first i thought it was the rings. got new piston installed, after break in I was still burning. so i was like oh, its the valve seals. had those replaced, still burning oil. i pulled the plugs and there was oil on the threads. so i cleaned it off, and started the motor, pulled them again and there was still oil in the same place. wtf btw, ls/vtec lots of mods

no i havent, is that something that i can do or is it something that has to be done at a shop

 

depends on your compentency as a mechanic, it's pretty easy to do a leak down test... but I know people who have screwed something up doing it...

 

if theres oil on the threads,you have a valve cover gasket leak.Those O-ring seals.How does the insulator look by the points?
