Default D4 Light :(

car: 1994 Honda Accord Sedan LX Auto

ok, after autoXing today, i turned my key to ingition (2nd click) and my parking light (P) and 4th gear light (D4) both turn on at the same time for a couple of seconds. It has NEVER done this before and i'm worried as hell. usually just the (P) lights up.

my friend told me my tranny was just overheated to i let it cool for a while (1/2 hour). still goes on. Checked for leaks, none. I'm freaking out because i'm affraid somethings wrong/bad.

help quick!!!!

find the jumper wire and see if you are throwing a code. Jumper wire is under glove box (green 2 pin plug)

I have a 2002 Accord Sedan EX-V6 and my car does that too. As far a I remember, my car does that ever since I got it new. Both (P) and (D4) would light up but (D4) would go away after about 2 seconds and then only (P) stay lit.

That is normal on the Hondas. You might not have seen that before ... but it has always done that. Nothing wrong with that.

When the "D4" light flashes when you are running ... then you have a problem.
