Default smokin out of the exhaust...

I had a friend drive my car today while I followed behind, and I noticed a good amount of smoke (white/grey) in color comming out of my exhaust. I have a 99 base model 5th gen. Its certified and the only performance mod i have so far is an AEM CAI. Is there something wrong? or is there anything I can do to stop this? I use the factory honda sythetic blend motor oil made by mobil 1.
thanks

This is actually normal, because of the high reving nature of the VTEC engines you are going to burn oil. The owners manaul states this as well.

Correct, most hondas, especially v-tec models tend to consume oil and smoke. When i had a prelude i went through roughly a quart for every thousand miles, oil consumption varies between cars and drivers.
