my 95 civic is making a rattling noise after i did a burn out from 5500 rpms. everytime you put it in gear and hit the gas pedal fairly hard it makes the rattling noise. it does this in all five gears and im just trying to diagnos it and see whats wrong, does anybody have a clue whats happening? oh yeah my car has 242 k miles on it.

 

worn out throw out bearing, clutch, pressure plate. 242k it's time.

 

how long do you think i'll last? i mean the problem until the car dosent move anymore. do you think i should just do a swap?

 

can't tell. denpend on your driving. try this put the car out on a high gear if the car cut off in a few second you be ok. if not then you getting there cause your clutch is slipping.
