Default i need to wash my Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket

I've had it for 18months and its getting a little ripe. lots of grimy miles on it. its starting to look dark grey instead of silver.

with all the foam padding in it i think it might get damaged in the washing machine. i've seen hockey gear which is similar construction get ruined by washing it. any ideas? or do u all just wash it.

My Aerostich suit has a bunch of foam impact absortion pads (6) in it. When I wash it, I have to take them out.

Umm, isn't there a label which states how to wash it? It's on the right (your right) side on the inside...

It says:

Handwash
Do not machine wash
Maximum temperature 40degrees C
Do not soak
Gently squeeze and if necessary carefully rub
Rinse with care
Do not wring
Line dry
Completely dry before storage
Do not iron
Do not dry clean
Do not bleach

HTH. And I would probably take out the pads. If there's no need to wash 'em, then that's less work for ya.

I just realized, my instructions could probably carry over to a certain male anatomical part...except for that line dry and dry before storage part.

Yeah just hose it down with some soapy water and then hang it up to dry, I think that's how they do it with the one piece suits too.

too true!!!

by the way, the hand cleaning thing is for the mesh not to snag and rip, hockey jersey are the same way, if you have a really nice washing machine, throw it in there on the delicates/lace/ setting, it dosent spin it the same way, and it will get considerably cleaner....no promises and try at your own risk!!
