A picture or 2 would be nice.. I'm about to replace my front bumper and I like the CRX one better.

They are not interchangable.

 

I know it takes modification.. but I can't be the only person that wants this or will do / has done this.

 

I have a 91 CRX Si front end on my 91 Hatch....it bolts right in with the 4 bolts that hold on the bumper support, you also nee the crx corner lights and quater panels. I can try to get some pics this weekend for ya and post them this week.

It looks a little goofy IMHO; the CRX has the black trim all the way around the bottom of the car while the hatch doesn't, so the black bottom section of the bumper doesn't look quite right when it's on a hatch. Though I guess you could always paint it or something . . .

Why not go JDM for something different? You can get the Civic SiR bumper, hood, fenders, rad support and headlights for like $550 + shipping. (Don't mind me, I'm just a JDM-front ***** )

 

a couple of friends of mine did it waaaaaay back. the easiest way to do it and make it look good is to just get the bumper. dont get the crx fenders or corner lamps. instead add fiberglass to the crx bumper, under the corner lamp. so there will be no gap.

 

I do like the JDM front.. 550 is not bad but then if you include shipping and as far as different, I'm sure there are less hatches with CRX bumpers than hatches with JDM front ends.

As far as the black band on the bottom of the CRX bumper, I'm planning on repainting my car so that won't be a problem.. I do plan to do the bumper and fenders and then do a little cutting and pasting to keep my side trim on the back side of the fender.

Anyway.. BUMP to the top 'til I get a picture!

 

I tried to just put on the crx bumper b/c I liked the vents in the lower corners, but I didn't have fenders so I took it off, since it didn't match up right.
I think it'd look good though.

i must agree.. just get the jdm front end.. i personnaly think they look alot better than the crx bumper

 

some may think it looks better so may not think that way.. Lucky for me, I know how to make up my own mind.. Not to be an ***, but I'm not looking for everyones view on the CRX bumper on a hatch.. I'm just trying to get a photo of it to make 100% sure that is what I want to do before I start cutting and welding fenders.

and.. Bump to the top again until I get a picture.

i wanted to do the same thing.i like the way the rex bumper looks and i could picture it on my hb. im alos getting a paint job in about feb. so i assume you do bodywork too. i go to miami lakes...toyota collision...just about to start gettin into plastic welding and molding. letme know how it turns out
