Default Oil Info..

I know there have been countless discussions of the "best" oil for our cars - so when I saw this short article I was interested. Of particular interest is the quotes of Mr. Ichisima of Spoon Sports...

(I apologize if this has been seen before...)

yeah, he "said" that in the BM Special Vol. 1. I'd really like to get my hands on the original Japanese version of this vdo since I found some of the translations were incorrect when I was able to hear the japanese in the background.

yoshi - who found that the funniest translation was DriftKing dubbed as saying "Good golly miss molly!!!" when he was drifting the NSX-R - LOL!!!!!

you just reminded me...
I'm sure the interview w/ Mr. Ichishima for the BM vdo is at least a couple of years old now, but if you go to Type One (the new Sp00n shop), they sell only Motul oil.

Neither one of those oils is 100% synthetic. Dunno what real benefits you would realize.

I'm trying to get my grubbly little hands on some of this:

Frankly, I don't know if you'd want to be running a 5- 60 weight oil in an R (under "normal" operating conditions).

I run 100 percent olive oil in my Type R. I've heard it's very healthy for it.

However, for the first 5,000 miles, you should use baby oil, to break it in while it's young.
