Default AEM EMS voltage control?

i have this friend with a 97 Prelude, fully built and turbocharged running AEM EMS v1.03, stock pulleys, and he has toasted 2 voltage regulators in one week. is there something in the EMS program that canbe causing this, or would it be cause from heat from the turbo??

is the turbo near the alternator? i saw your thread on the aem forums. i dont know the answer if the ecu interacts with the volt. reg. i dont think so though. i think something else is damaging the VRs.
