Alarms with pagers that were MADE for manual transmissions...
an alarm and pager made for a manual tranny? It doesn't matter if you have a manual or not, unless you're tlaking about a pager alarm with remote start... which I'm assuming you are?
There was a post about this a little while ago, the title was asking if it was possible. And then the discusion talked about different brands. Run a search see if you find anything.
if u completely disable the clutch, any remote start/pager alarm can work.
are u talking about the alarm being able to recognize that it is in gear and hand brake up?

yea the compustar knows if the e-brake is up, and when u pull out the key the car stays started so u can't leave it in gear, then it turns off when u shut the door.

no kidding.. really your friend has a 790 w/ a 5 spd.. he asked a question what alarms are MADE for a 5spd.. the 790 is not designed for a 5spd and DEI will not support any alarm installation that is on a manual transmisson..
compustar is the only that i know about nowadays.. a couple years back clifford made on but not anymore..
