Default Hit the track tonight, sohc style

Well i finally hit the track tonight for the first time since i got the SOHC in. Track was really cold/busy (temps were probably 40-50 degrees) Only got to make 2 runs because it was very busy. First run i ran a 14.6 @ 98 2.38 60' and i missed second gear. Second pass i ran a 14.2 @ 96 mph, would have run a better time but my bottle ran out 3/4 way down the track So far im pretty pleased with the lil sohc, cant wait to see what she runs on boost!

What were your 1/8 times? Sounds like pretty good times to me.

How often do you go to the track? If its your first few times pretty sweet.. just try to get those 60 foot times down.. oh ya what else is done to your car?

Well i go out to the 1/8th mile track quite a bit. In the 1/8th i ran a 9.2 @ 81, ( 81 in the 1/8this usually good for a 8.8 where i usually go) the track was really slippery and i couldnt pull **** for 60's, usually i pull 2.20's at the 1/8th i go to. I know it would have broke 13.XX if my bottle wouldnt have ran out, it was pulling really hard. I didnt get a chance to run it without the bottle because the place was so busy.

What i have done to my car:

Zex street strip cam / cam gear
i/h/e
AEM fpr
exedy clutch
Zex 75 shot
zex plugs

Not bad, but I think you should be running 13's with that setup. Mista Bone ran a 13.09@103 with I/H/E, 85 shot, and slicks...so you should be mid-high 13's with the stuff you got done...14.2 is very decent though...pick urself up some slicks and get those 60fts down

Ya th etrack was just extremely slippery, i raced a supercharged 5.0 stang and he only ran a 15.1 because of the lack of traction. If the nitrous wouldnt have ran out i know i woulda hit at least a 13.9.
