Answer - No you cannot use 99-00 grill (the painted piece or the whole center grill)on a 96-98 civic without 99-00 headlights, bumper & hood
edit F'n ME - I always forget somethin' :bangs head on keyboard: "oh yeah, you'll need fenders too"

Believe it or not. They both have a little bit of a different shape. Can't really tell, but there's a difference.

Re: 99 si grill on a 96-98 civic (JDM CTR EK)
as stated above it wont fit, but you can buy a ctr grill for the 96-98 bumper. I know jdmshit.com has the replica ones, and theres fit perfect.

Like everybody stated, over and over obvioulsy without reading the post, no.
I wonder though...can you take out the honeycomb center part and modify it to fit in the 96-98 frame? I've been wanting to try that but I don't seem to have an Si grill laying around that would be a good donor...hummm.

yea that's what i wanted to do...because honestly the replica grils look kinna cheap compared to the civic si honeycomb grill imo.
