It depends on what you mean by 'bang for the buck'. If by 'bang for the buck', you mean cheap, then the JDM ITR header is a good way to go. In tests, this header extracted as much power as more expensive units like Spoon and Toda (about 4-5HP peak on a B18C5 vs the cast manifold). If, on the other hand, 'bang for the buck' means value, I would look into some of the new, domestically produced headers that are coming out (DTR, Header-Tech, SMSP, AN-R, etc.). Since these are all low-volume, hand-produced pieces, they are generally quite expensive (around $500-$1000). But they produce BIG power. Most produce around 12-15HP over the JDM ITR 4-1. So while they are expensive, they just can't be beat on a dollar per HP basis. Especially if you consider what you would have to do in addition to a lesser header to get the same HP!
JDM DC Header - $300.00 Can't beat it for the buck. Nothing get's close that i've seen, and it preforms neck and neck with the other big jdm brands..
For a little higher class of header...
HeaderTech SS Header - $750.00 Awesome and comparable to HyTech and SMSP which cost $1100-$1400.00

DTR headers are probably one of the best $-hp buys, for what u pay u get a *beep* load of power and awseome craftsmanship.....www.DTRFAB.com and take a look !!
