um ok. I remember this dude who had one. he put it in his intake and the damn thing went sideways and was actually hurting flow!

The tornado does work. My friend bought one and we had the car dynoed in Charlotte NC. It was putting down a whopping 155hp and 112 ft of torque with headers, cam shaft, cam gear, and msd ignition system with the tornado. Without the tornado, it was only putting down 135hp and this is a D16 A motor from a 1990 CRX. STOCK BOTTOM.

teh effect the tornado has is defeated the moment the air current has to turn to enter the runners. it really is useless. anyone who is seeing gains off it is a fluke, and is probably doing something different somehow that's making the gains. I've taken enough fluid dynamics to know a little about airflow.

Just do an ITR man, Independant Tornado Runners. Get 4 really small ones, weld them to the ports, chop off an inch or so off each runner and badding bing! lmao

 

the tornado might work on some domestic cars.. that dont rev past 5500 or so....
our cars like to breath a lot more faster, not more volume, but faster.... and at out high engine speeds, the tornado acutally slows the flow and hurts performance

I agree with this guy 100%

basicly the tornado works like this. if you have swirling air going into the combustion chamber, you get a nice mixature of a/f all around your chamber. when it gets ignite, you will have a clean and complete combustion.

 

it's the same sort of principle the old carbuerated hondas worked on. only teh concept doesn't really carry over. the air travels too fast and makes too many turns.

I think if you have any common sense about advertising then you would know that those gains would be too good to be true or else everyone would have one...hell if ads were true then i would probably have a 17" ***** right now, but thats no the case i have to settle or a dissapointing 12"

I personally think the Tornado is a piece of crap, but the review above isn't any better. They go from install to swinging a baseball bat at it. Where are the acceleration tests or dyno charts? At least give of a set of the pants feeling instead of just saying they might have lost 10hp. Why even waste the bandwidth with such a piece of crap review?

Regarding the tornado I heard a while back that the inventor got sued because of their false claims and I didn't see it being sold for a while. Now it's back with the same OLD lame *** commercials with the dude that doesn't know anything about anything mechanical trying to explain how it works.

BTW I have one in my car, which I got for free, I noticed a little low end acceleration. But then again, it could just be in my mind
