The castle nut that secures the front knuckle to the lower controll arm has seized onto the ball joint (or the ball joint has come loose, however you want to look at it) and the damn thing just spins. It won't tighten and it wont loosen. The ball joint just doesn't stay in one place for the castle nut to tighten up on it, just spins with it. This sucks. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do here? The castle nut is on the threaded end of the ball joint up to where the top of the "turrets" are even with the bottom of the bolt. Basically I need to be able to hold the ball joint while I tighten the casle nut...anyway, I'm babbling. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

 

Nevermind, spoke too soon, just gotta be smarter than the nut. One of the "turrets" was binding on the ball joint threaded section. Bent it away, problem solved. Sorry to waste anyones time .
