this is a new one for me. i was just trying to start my car, and my starter, which has been having troubles lately getting going, and what i mean by that is you hear a click, and thats it. and after after a few attempts it starts up like a champ, no long turning over sessions or anything. anyway, the story was the same today, a few tries and it started right up, with the addition of a constant grinding noise. At first i thought i was missing a cylinder, but power seemed the same, and drove just fine all the way home, but the grinding noise was still there.

could it perhaps be that i broke off part of the starter gear or something similar? anyone else had this problem, its loud, any ideas would be awesome.

 

i have the same problems of grinding only because i changed my flywheel and it's not within spec.
