Default under the hood looks.....

this is pertaining to the clear radiator hose topic.... i was just thinking that if the hoses were transparent, then u would be able to see the fluids inside. and thaiphob's post made me think about how they check for radiator leaks... they use an ultra violet dye in the fluid. if u put the fluid in the cooling system, and set up some neat black lights under the hood, u could have a potentially unique engine bay~i thought that was neat. idk about u guys. it's not something i would do, b.c i haev other priorities for my gsr right now but.... it's an idea for u members to throw around.

I think i posted the Neon effect the the other form. Blacklight and Antifreeze = glow. I used to fill bottles in my room and put them on my shelf infront of a blacklight.

That isn't a bad idea haha. Neon colors are cool. GLOWING is cool.

If things that look neat are ricey then anything that looks cool sucks. I'm sorry but I don't feel like driving around a beater just to prove I'm better than anyone.

Besides, that term is solely based on opinion. Just because some people don't think that another persons idea that deals with cosmetics is great I don't see how that qualifies as "ricey".

Anything cosmetic ricey to you?
do you have any aesthetic tastes?
WTF is rice to you anyways?

or are you another JDM bandwagoner---even if it appears ugly you'd throw it in your car because its "JDM."

Jump on the FLAT BLACK bandwagon buddy. I'm pretty sure a lot of cars in JDM-land, that are "done-up" to look OEM + Spoon + Mugen, etc., are also clean and modded aesthetically under the hood.

have you guys seen the hks skyline that runs the 1/4 in the 7s at a trap speed of almost 200mph; too bad it has those green decals on it cause that just makes it a pure 100% rice-mobile. on you narrow-minded fucktard; may you and all of your pitiful breed face imminent extinction.

I think you, and every one else that's anti-JDM take the term rice too seriously. Have you guys ever thought for a second that it just means that something's NOT JDM??? I'm into the JDM styling, and i don't use the term rice cuz it's like a racist comments to cars in my opinion, but when i DO hear the term 'rice' i just take it as something that's NOT JDM or OEM. you guys get too upset over a term that has no real meaning.

EDIT: In response to the original post, I say do whatever you want to the thing. I wouldn't do it myself, but if I did, I'd do it AFTER i modded all the important stuff first. Black lights that nobody sees would be very last on my list.

So sorry 'bout that. Left out the oem 'style' carbon fiber hood. And what exactly do you mean by who makes an oem style hood? Since when was Spoon NOT jdm?

EDIT: And please don't act like all JDM enthusiasts have ALL JDM parts. Some of us are actually responsible with our money and get the best deal instead of spending a whole lot on imported parts. :: shakes head :: It's funny how those who aren't into the style think they know everything about it.

how the **** did you get anti-jdm from my post? in the words of Red
Foreman: "Dumbass!". you think that rice is anything not jdm or oem? honestly, that has to be the stupidest/worst definition of rice ive ever heard. youve just said that almost every aftermarket product is rice including but not limited to turbos, superchargers, and nitrous. you might want to reread your dictionary and especially pay attention in the R's.

I said that's how i define it. So what is it buddy? Like i said, it's a term with no real meaning. Everyone uses it how they see fit. My point is, you guys get all worked when you see the word 'rice'. BTW, i looked it up. Said it's "an asian white grain that you eat with vegetables". Wow, that sounds like it has nothing to do with cars...

I think the blacklight is a good idea. Ricer to me is like those gay led windshield squiters or neon lights everywhere on a car that is slow as a turd. This new idea would be unique. It's like seeing the blood of the engine pumping.

rice is anything distasteful that is added to or put on an automobile. learn the words of ht newb; none of them are meaningless.
