Default How Big A Tire?

Hey guys and gals-
This question is for my gf's Accord, it's a '97 SE.

Her tires are in need of replacment...she's not a spritited driver, so I'm not looking for something super high performance. I've (I think) settled on getting the Falken ZE-512's for her car.

The stock size tire is 185/65R15...I'd like to get something bigger than those pizza cutters for her (and when I drive it )

So, I was thinking about some 205/60R15's. I know that they'll be just a tad taller (~.1 inch), but I'm concerned about the width.

It won't rub, will it? That's not a much bigger tire...

If it will...I guess I'll get some 195's...

Thanks for your help.

You should be okay with 205s.

I used to have 225 series tires on my lowered accord and it never once rubbed. I wouldn't worry about 205s.

Good choice of tire.

Kumho's 712 will do the job nicely, they do last quite long too

that's the best choice for 15s for an accord

205 60 15s, are too big,will look dumb, and probably have alot of sidewall flex than 195 60 15. i'd get 195 60 15s before going with 205 60 15s.

I run a 205 50 15 up front and it is perfect... about as big as I can go without rubbing (3 inch drop).

195 50's were not bad either... I run those on back.
