Default Black G3 owners, any problems with mirrors chipping?

My mirrors were chipping off paint when i got the car so i got them repainted. Now its happening again, its only been about a year since they got painted. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know if its just the wrong paint or if i need to replace the mirrors? thanks.

Mine is green and I have the same problem. It might have to do with the areodynamic design eveything gets forced by the side mirrors

yes my mirrors are black, and chipped pretty badly. I do not know if it would help, but I would suggest getting elasticiter put in the paint and getting them painted. ( like when you are painting urethane kits, so the paint gives a little without cracking) **just something to check on

My black mirrors possibly have the best paint remaining on my car, no chips etc, but my front bumper and hood is in **** from stone chips!

Is this on the WHOLE car?? If so, either you don't ever drive on the freeway, or you are very lucky (or you just got your car repainted )

no chipping here. use a better clearcoat if you are going to repaint. it will hold up better.

No chipping on my original '95 mirrors.

No chipping on a set of '96+ mirrors I had repainted. Just lots of bug splatter that I can't get off.
