Yesterday was a great day. Tuesday I decided to go to Tracy Honda here in Cali. with one of my friends (Edgar). Edgar is a big fan of ITR's and has always been interested in touring car races and has always been involved in SCCA. We decided to go to Tracy honda because we hear that they are now carrying Spoon Sports products .

So we leave home yesterday around 4pm and get there around 5pm. We pull up in my car of course the Spoon Mobile with my newly installed JDM front . We park right in front of their Showroom and get out to go into the Parts department to find out how much they sell the spoon CF lip for.

About ten guys come out of the showroom and one asks me "Is that your Type R?" I say "Yes". He says "Is it a true Type R?" I say "Yes". He then says "Wow you have this thing all spooned out!" I just smiled and said "Yup". He starts naming off all my stuff like Spoon Calipers, Spoon Rims and everything. I then pop my hood and "He says wow you spent a pretty penny on this car." I just laugh.

My friend then says to him "I recognize you from somewhere." He goes "I used to have a Type R" Edgar then goes "Wait dont tell me your name......... Taz Harvey right?" Taz says "yup thats me".

Both of our mouths just dropped to the floor . My friend is like "Man I have your autograph your such a great driver." Taz says "thanks". I shake his hand. He tells us he is going to be driving for Spoon at Thunderhill for a 24 hour race. They dont know what car they are gonna drive yet but he might drive a Accord Type R cause they dont know if the S2000 will make it through the race. Then he gets a phone call and tells us he has to go. He then says "If you or any of your friends need spoon stuff let me know we can get it." He then leaves. I guess his dad owns Tracy honda and he just kinda hangs out there every once and a while to look over things.

It was kinda cool to have Taz Harvey saying how much he liked my car. I wanna go back and get his autograph sometime soon. I bought a Authentic Spoon T-Shirt there. They are selling the spoon lip for $499.00 he said i can call around and see what price i can get and they can probably match it. We walked around the car lot for a bit and saw their parts truck had Spoon Sports all over it, lol kinda funny seeing spoon sticker on a Chevy. Sorry this post is soo long but just wanted to let you guys know since most of you are into racing and i figured you woud know who Taz Harvey is. So anyone around Tracy and needs to buy spoon products Tracy honda can kinda price match and you dont have to pay for shipping.
