I have a tore-down H23 and H22 in my garage, and decided I'd try to help end the controversy over the H23's crank.

If someone can tell me how to determine how the crank was made, I'll help in determining the process and I'll post pics, just let me know where to take the pictures.

if you strike it with a screwdriver or a hard object, it will thud with not much resonance in sound. if its forged it will make a ping. hth

 

I agree with that answer, but I will get back with you about this...I can find out for sure...
