crap.....something else to fix.
I was driving along the highway today and when passing a semi one of its tires lost a layer of tread
that layer then flew at my car and tore of the plastic molding thats in around on the front passenger tire.
this now leaves the area where the CAI filter sits more openly exposed and while its not raining that just means more air
but if rains water will get up every where so does anyone know where i can get that molding from other than a junkyard maybe?

yeah that plastic lining and the really bad thing i just noticed is when that got ripped off the front light wiring that is in the well came un-done and was rubbing on the wheel while i drove home...
damn thats ironic the other day i was looking at how to get the resonator out and i had to remove that piece and today it was ripped of my car.
That is damn ironic. Im glad i still got my piece. Maybe think about buying the Bypass for the CAI, but if you can go with the lining back in I would do that in an instant cause the bypass is more of a waste of money and involves cutting the pipe which is a pain in the butt. At least im pretty sure it does.
you do have to cut the pipe
all the bypass valve does is suck air thre the side filter area of the vale since air will take the least resistant route air will come from there and not down by the filter if it get summerged or anything the engine will pull enough air out of the bypass so there wont be a vacume left to suck up the water.

I haven't had one on my car in almost a year, and i have NEVER had problems w/ water. I don't even have my front bumper lenses in my car.
really you run it with out the lining? that wire thats in the wheel well dosent fall down and rub at all? it would be better air flow to the engine.. i would have liked to taken it off even if it is better i dont like stuff getting ripped of my ride.
