First off I have a 95 s. It came with no power locks. I am planning to swap out the engine among other things. What is the best alarm, and aftermarktet power lock kit? If I get a remote starter ( I live in cold nebraska), would it effect any other mode to my computer or anything else? thanks

 

is it an automatic?? As they only make the remote starters for auto's to hook it up to a 5spd you have to leave the car in neutral all thie time and disable the clutch saftey switch (two bad ideas)

1. Why would it be a bad idea to leave it in neutral? I leave mine in neutral all the time. I mean unless you live in a hilly area...I don see the problem...
2. U don't have to disable the clutch safety switch, but instead Diode Isolate the ground part of the switch...then you hook up the ground to a ground that the alarm grounds to start the car...
I have remote start in my 5sp, and it works great...

I m bout to install mine too, i was gonna disable the clutch, but now that i kno this, i ll do that, i never leave my car in gear. i live in orlando Fl, plus, the few times i tried to get into the habit of leavin my car in gear, i stalled very hard cause i m used to let go of the clutch after i start to car, to check my instruments and music....
