It is best to go with the h23 and turbo it then bother putting a turbo on the h22 and ******* with vtec...just my two cents.

what's that got to do with it, you already have 40-50hp more than the H23 to start with plus VTEC motors have better oiling systems. USDM H23 v USDM H22 compression is 9:8:1 v. 10:0:1, which is not going to help you too much in preventing detonation. atleast you can run lower boost on the H22 to make the same power.

either way, i would not turbo a honda unless i had lots of faith in myself or the shop doing the work. even still, hondas were best designed to be N/A, if you want a H23 or H22 plus turbo in an accord just consider getting a better car that already has turbo to start with. yeah it's cool, till something breaks or when you to sell it.

f-series engines have less problems than h-series engines with turbo's from what i've heard.

i'd go h22 n/a if i were you. for the same price as the f22 turbo, you could have almost the same power (w/bolt ons) with more reliability.

actually the h22 is slow as hell...tourque wins races...sure, you can bolt on all kinds of parts and make almost 200hp to the wheels, but only have about 140 ft/lbs of tourque...boosting the f22 with a kit like fmax or drag will yield at least 220 hp and 230 ft/lbs of tourque at the 10 psi they recomend...also, about the h22 vs h23 thing, sure the h22 has the extra oil squirters, but the h23 is bigger motor...anyways, who wants to rev to 7200 when they are boosted anyways...i'd rather go with the h23 and not have as much turbo lag than the h22...h22's are imo...

^ i agree on boosting the F22 or F23, they can make some sick power for similar or less money than a swap. on problem is many F22s are old and have high miles, i would not want to boost a motor with 100k+ on it. then you have to do a little more maintenance and be little more cautious of how your car is running when it's turbo. the nice thing about a swap on older cars is a lower mileage motor and reliability.
btw i put 150 lb/ft trq to the ground.

.1 liters of diplacement big deal, i'd still rather take a H22, DOHC VTEC+BOOST=

i doubt you would even feel the difference in torque between a H23 and H22 below VTEC crossover.
